Boosting Your Skin Health with Peaches: The Perfect Summer Fruit
Peaches are one of my favorite summer snacks; it is the one fruit that I miss in the cold winter months. In addition to being beautiful, fragrant, and delicious, they are rich in vitamins A and C. Peaches can brighten up a salad, add flavor to a smoothie, or you can just enjoy them on the go. Peaches are filled with antioxidants which are necessary for optimal skin health. Vitamins A and C in peaches play a huge role in eliminating free radical damage, normalize oil production, lighten hyperpigmentation, and brighten the skin, all the things that we want for a youthful glow! A raw medium-sized peach has roughly 6% of your daily vitamin A and 15% of vitamin C. Bonus: they are only 50 calories!! This is one sweet treat that you should indulge in while they are in season.
Recipe – Grilled Peaches with Buffalo Mozzarella
- Half the peach and remove the seed.
- Brush them with a little oil to prevent sticking on the grill.
- Place them cut side down on the grill and grill until you see char marks and the fruit softens.
- Flip them over and add the buffalo mozzarella into the heart of the fruit. Allow the cheese to melt and the fruit to continue to soften.
